Governor Gear Optimizer v2.0

Build the strongest upgrade sequence for your current budget. This tool uses gear and suit threshold data to calculate the most effective stat or event-point path for Infantry, Cavalry, Archer, or all-troop builds.

How It Works

  • Reads full governor gear progression levels from your provided export.
  • Applies gear stats and active 3-piece / 6-piece suit thresholds.
  • Compares greedy upgrades against path-searched routes before choosing a final route.
  • Supports separate stat-growth and event-point optimization goals.
  • Outputs the exact recommended action list and material consumption.

Usage Notes

Suit bonuses are evaluated by piece-count thresholds and current part levels. Upgrading a single low piece can unlock higher set bonuses and change the optimal next step.

This optimizer is intentionally gear-only. Governor Charm planning is handled in the separate Charm Optimizer tool.

The planner is deterministic for a given input. If you want alternative plans, change your focus profile or budget split and run it again.

How to Use the Governor Gear Optimizer

Step 1 — Set your current gear levels

Input the current level of each governor gear piece you own. The optimizer calculates the stat gain from each possible upgrade from your current baseline, not from zero. Pieces you have not unlocked yet should be left at Level 0.

Step 2 — Choose your optimization goal

Select whether to optimize for stat growth (raw combat stat increase per material spent) or event points (maximizing points during gear upgrade events). These produce different priority orders — an upgrade worth many event points may not be the best pure stat value.

Step 3 — Set your troop type focus

Choose Infantry, Cavalry, Archer, or All-Troop. Gear sets provide different bonuses depending on which troop type they are designed for. If you run mixed armies, the All-Troop option weights universally applicable bonuses more heavily.

Step 4 — Enter your material budget

Input how many materials you have available. The optimizer generates the highest-value upgrade sequence within your budget, accounting for 3-piece and 6-piece set threshold bonuses that unlock when enough pieces of a set reach qualifying levels.

Governor Gear FAQ

What gear should I upgrade first in Kingshot?

Infantry gear — specifically the Helmet, Armor, and Boots — provides the highest survivability return for most players. Completing the Infantry 3-piece set bonus significantly reduces troop losses in Bear Hunt, PvP defense, and KvK. The optimizer reflects this when Infantry is selected as your troop type focus.

What is a gear set threshold bonus?

Each gear set provides a bonus when 3 or all 6 pieces of the same set reach a qualifying upgrade level. The 3-piece bonus activates first and provides a significant stat multiplier. The optimizer accounts for these thresholds — sometimes it is more efficient to push a lower-level set piece to unlock the 3-piece bonus rather than continuing to upgrade an already-high piece.

Should I optimize for stats or event points?

During a Gear Event, event points is almost always the better choice — milestone rewards are worth more than the small stat difference from a purely stat-optimal order. Outside of events, optimize for stats. A common strategy is to bank materials and wait for a Gear Event before spending them.

Does the optimizer cover Governor Charms too?

No — this tool is gear-only. Governor Charm planning is handled in the separate Charm Optimizer tool, which uses the correct cost tables and stat formulas for that system.
